A local dance group which focuses on Latin dances and culture will be hosting its first Latin Fiesta weekend next month
A release from the group, Latin Passion SVG says the Fiesta is planned to run from June 6th until June 9th.
During that weekend, a series of Latin dance workshops will be held for beginners.
The workshops will focus on dances such as the Salsa, Bachata and the Afro-Latin dance, Kizomba. The festival will also involve members and instructors of the Expose Latin Dance Academy of St. Lucia.
The Fiesta will also include other events at the Prospect Racquet Club, Flow Wine bar and also in Bequia.
Latin Passion SVG was formed in September 2013 by Anton Jardine.
Mr. Jardine’s goal is to introduce Vincentians to the international techniques involved in Latin dancing.
The group has since hosted dancers and instructors from across the region as well as Venezuela, Australia and the UK.
