Coordinator of Shows for the Carnival Development Corporation CDC, Marlon Stephenson says the CDC will be striving to maintain the high quality of its shows this year, despite financial constraints.
Speaking at a News Conference hosted by the CDC this week, Mr. Stephenson noted that there are 13 official events planned for Vincy Mas 2014 and ten shows. He said this does not include the rural carnivals.
He said in addition to producing shows of a high standard, the CDC also has a responsibility to help local artistes to improve their level of professionalism.
Meanwhile, President of the local Calypsonians Association Anne Miller said the member tents of the Association will not be hosting their tent shows at the Victoria Park this year.
