Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says he has held discussions with Officials in the United Kingdom on development projects on the Grenadine Island of Canouan.
Speaking at a Media Conference this morning, the Prime Minister said an agreement has been reached by the Saladino Group and Irish man Dermoth Desmond to carry out the project.
Meanwhile … the Prime Minister told reporters that he will be seeking financial assistance in the sum of 6.4 million US dollars from the International Monetary Fund IMF.
The Prime Minister said the funds will be used for rehabilitation purposes.
