The local private sector is being urged to give a greater level of support to the local fisheries sector.
The appeal came from Minister of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries Saboto Caesar as he addressed the gathering at the Annual Fisherman’s Day Prize Giving Ceremony at the Calliaqua playing field on Monday.
Minister Caesar made said a greater level of private sector investment is needed to held with the development of the sector.
He noted that the Fisheries sector is still trying to recover from the December floods, and is also facing a number of other challenges
