Victories for Titans, Rockets, Hawks, Rising Stars (2), Blazing Heat, Rising Stars (1) and Warriaz as the Bequia Basketball Championship continued with matches in the Under-16, Second and First Divisions at the Clive Tannis Hard Court in Port Elizabeth, Bequia last weekend.

In the Under-16s: Titans defeated Young Wizards 23-17. The top scorer for Titans was Jomara Adams with 10 points and 6 steals, while the leading scorer Young Wizards was Mario Tannis with 13 points.

Rockets gained a 33-10 victory from Dragons. Reon Ollivierre with 16 points, 18 rebounds and 3 assists led the way for Rockets and Dragons leading was Kirsta Bailey with 6 points.

Tasroy McIntosh with 13 points and 5 rebounds as Hawks beat Hornets 33-10. The top scorer for Hornets was Michael Peniston with 6 points.

Rockets defeated Young Wizards 23-12. Leading the way for Rockets was Reon Ollivierre with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist, while Mario Tannis was the leading scorer for Young Wizards with 9 points.

And, Reon Ollivierre scored 20 points, had 11 rebounds and 2 assists as Rockets eased past Young Wizards 30-27 in another Under-16 match.

In the second Division: Rising Stars (2) edged out Wizards (2) 56-49. The leading scorer for Rising Stars 2 was Stelson Marshall with a game high 18 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists. Colin McIntosh with 12 points led the way for Wizards (2).

Blazing Heat secured an 86-52 win over Wizards (2). The top scorer for Blazing Heat was Mark Browne with 22 points and 8 assists Wizards (2) leading scorer was Colin McIntosh with 12 points.

And, Rising Stars 2 defeated Young Duke 52-49. Leading scorer for Rising Stars 2 was Camal Bess with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists and Shea Hazell led the way for Young Duke with 15 points.

In the First Division: Kirstin Lampkin hit a game high 19 points, 17 rebounds and 2 assists as Rising Stars edged out East Blazers 48-40. The leading scorer for East Blazers was Cosmus Hackshaw with 11 points.

And, Warriaz gained a one point victory over Wizards by one point 54-53. The top scorer for Warriaz was Warrican Myers with 14 points, 19 rebounds, 1 assist, while the leading scorer for Wizards was Jason Hutchins with 24 points.

The Championship continues tomorrow, when Hornets plays against Dragons from 6 pm, later at 7 pm, Warriaz will face Duke and at 9 pm, Rising Stars will clash with East Blazers.
