A quantity of medical equipment will be handed over to the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment today from the Republic of China on Taiwan.
Taiwanese Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines Weber Shih, will hand over the equipment to Minister of Health Wellness and the Environment Clayton Burgin.
A release from the Ministry of Health says the handing over ceremony will be held at the Lecture Room of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital from 8. 30 am.
The Ministry says is continues to receive critical equipment and supplies from the Government and people of the Republic of China on Taiwan, under the Civic Development Programme.
It said the donations are intended to support the development of an efficient, effective and sustainable secondary health care delivery system for the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
