Edwin D Laynes and Sons defeated SVG Port Authority 2-1 at the weekend in the Digicel/St. Vincent Brewery Aeropost Breakaway Firm’s Invitational Football Championship at the Grammar School Playing Field.

Daniel Swift and Dorian Fairbain scored for Edwin D Laynes and Sons, while Calbert Shallow scored the goal for SVG Port Authority.

Ministry of Transport and Works beat Ministry of Housing 1-nil. Wilian Joseph scored the only goal of the match.

St. Vincent Brewery gained a 2-1 win over Toni Stores Combined. Sylvanus James and Javid Gibson were the goal scorers for St. Vincent Brewery. The goal for Toni Stores Combined was scored by Deshan Moore.

St. Vincent Electricity Services VINLEC won from National Lotteries beating them 10-nil. The goal scorers were John Cain and Timroy Henry (3) each with a goal each from Jermaine Cruickshank, Dale Lewis, Randy Patrick and Anthony Sam.

And in the Under-15 Division, Largo Height and Owia played to a goalless draw. System Three (2) beat United Strikers 2-nil. Jerron Dopwell and Jamali Harry were scorers the goals.

A-DARE defeated Layou 2-nil with goals from Travis Fraser and Asrick Williams and Campdonia Chelsea won by default from Greggs FC.

This afternoon from a quarter past one, System Three (1) will meet Central Shooters in the Under-15 Division and at half past four Gibson Building Supplies will oppose Customs and Excise. Both matches will also be played at the Grammar School Playing Field.
