Blazing Heat and Duke were crowned 2^nd and 1^st Division champions respectively last weekend as the 2014 Vita Malt Bequia Basketball Championship climaxed at the Clive Tannis Hard Court in Port Elizabeth.

In the 2^nd Division Game (2) Finals, Blazing Heat defeated Rising Stars (2) 49-40 to tie the Final Best of 3 series 1-1 and force a game (3).

The leading scorer for Blazing Heat was Dean Browne with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists, while Stelson Marshall was the leading scorer for Rising Stars (2) with 18 points.

And in the 2^nd Division Game (3), Blazing Heat clinched Title with a 56-51 victory over Rising Stars (2). Mark Browne led the way for Blazing Heat with 19 points, 4 assists and 5 steals. The leading scorer for Rising Stars (2) was Stelson Marshall with 17 points.

And in the 1^st Division Game (2) Finals, Duke defeated Warriaz 85-72 to win the First Division Title. National Player I-Shama McCree was Duke’s leading scorer with a game high 26 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Warriaz top scorer was Warrican Myers with 22 points.
