Oalex Anderson scored in the 45th minute as St. Vincent and the Grenadines Senior Men’s team defeated the Dominican Republic 1-nil yesterday in their opening match of the 2014 Digicel Caribbean Cup Football Qualifiers at the Antigua Recreation Ground in St. John’s.
In the other match, Antigua outplayed Anguilla beating them 6-nil.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines will next meet Anguilla on Friday from 5 pm and Antigua and Barbuda will oppose the Dominican Republic from 7 pm.
The final round of matches will be played on Sunday when the Dominican Republic meets Anguilla from 5 pm and at 7 pm, St. Vincent and the Grenadines will play against Antigua and Barbuda.
