Former National player Gosnel Cupid hit his second consecutive century as LIME Hill Knight Riders beat Oval Wonderers by 43 runs last weekend in the Inaugural Prime Consulting/Casper Davis Twenty/20 Tape Ball Cricket Championship at the Richland Park Oval.

The scores in the match: LIME Hill Knight Riders 269 for 4 off 20-overs; Gosnel cupid 119 not out, Rickford Walker 59; Lass Haywood 3 for 53, Oval Wonderers 226 off 17.1-overs; Newborn Joseph 58, Lass Haywood 45, Danny Allen 22; Seon Sween 4 for 43 Gosnel Cupid 2 for 32. Gosnel Cupid was adjudged the Man-of-the-match.

In other results, Shanty Town inflicted a 10-wicket win over Kelipar Hill Siders in a match reduced to 10-overs because of rain. SCORES: Kelipar Hill Siders 100 off 8-overs; Sunil Ambris 45; Otis hector 3 for 15, Javid Harry and Miles Bascombe captured 2 wickets each.

Shanty Town 101 without lost off 7-overs; Calty Lewis 57 not out, Miles Bascombe 28 not out. Calty Lewis was voted the Man-of-the-Match.

And, Riverside Warriors defeated Cotton Ground by 4 wickets in a match reduced by 15-overs. The scores: Cotton Ground 192 for 7 off 15-overs; Lindon James 58, Frankie Farrell 55, O’Neil Endeavour 26 not out; Asif Hooper and Deighton Butler took 2 wickets each.

Riverside Warriors 193 for 6 off 13.5-overs; Asif Hooper 62, Davian Barnum 68, Kenton Davis 21; Keswick Williams finished with 2 wickets. Asif Hooper was voted Man-of-the-Match.

The Championship will continue this weekend.
