The Ministry of Culture has appealed for the support of the public as it prepares to launch of a month of activities to celebrate this country’s 35th anniversary of independence.
Chief Cultural Officer, Anthony Theobalds says this year’s activities will be held under the theme: Working Together to Enhance National Pride.
Mr. Theobalds says the Ministry is looking forward to strong support for the month-long programme.
He said the Ministry is working closely with stakeholders throughout the country to ensure that the activities are successful
The Independence anniversary activities will be unveiled at a News Conference, set to begin at one this afternoon at the Kingstown Public Library.
