Members Of The Public Asked To Protect And Conserve “Green Spaces”

An appeal has been made for Vincentians to do their part in assisting with the fight against Climate Change.

This call was made by Director of Environmental Management, Janeil Miller Findlay, during the Views on Issues program aired on NBC Radio focusing on the topic “Responding to Issues of Climate Change”.

Mrs. Miller Findlay said often times people clear the land of all trees to use concrete especially in their yards their surroundings and this is affects the environment.

She noted that protecting Coral Reefs and replanting trees are ways in which individuals can assist in the fight against Climate Change.

Mrs. Miller Findlay said as it relates to soil protection, persons can use lawn grass in their yards instead of concrete to increase green spaces that aid in the fight against Climate Change.
