The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cooperative League will host the workshop at its Conference Room tomorrow afternoon.
A release from the league says the aim of the workshop is to bring the accounting, financial and Operational reporting standards closer in line with prudential and regulatory requirements.
The training is particularly relevant in view of the newly consolidated industry landscape wherein the number of credit unions has m0oved from nine in 2015 to 4 in 2015.
Some thirty participants from the management and accounting departments, executive committees of the boards of directors and members of the supervisory and compliance committees of credit unions will attend the workshop
It will be conducted in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority and the auditing firm of KDLT CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS.
