Executive Director of the SVG Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Tony Regisford, has emphasized the need for employees to possess the relevant mathematical skills to properly function at the workplace.
He was speaking on NBC’s Views On Issues programme yesterday, which focused on the State of Mathematics in St. Vincent and the Grenadians and its implications for national development.
Mr. Regisford said employees must be able to enter the workplace with the ability to think critically and mathematics forms a crucial part of the individual’s ability to achieve this requirement.
Mr. Regisford said there is a need to implement strategies aimed at fostering a greater appreciation for Mathematics at an early age.
