A number of fisher-folk who suffered loss or damage during the December 2013 floods are expected to receive some level of assistance this week.
That’s according to Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Saboto Caesar, as he gave an update on the relief effort in parliament last week.
Minister Caesar said the ministry has experienced a number of setbacks and is working to ensure that fish-folk receive the necessary assistance.
Minister Caesar also said officials from the ministry will meet with the affected persons this week to discuss financing arrangements.
