Sexual Violence Continues To Be A Major Challenge For The Development Of Women In SVG

The Statement was disclosed by the Co-ordinator of the Gender Affairs Division in the Ministry of Social Development Polly Oliver, during NBC’s Views On Issues Programme on Sunday.

The discussion focused on the topic: The Achievements and Advancement of Women in St Vincent and the Grenadines
Mrs. Oliver noted that although some progress has been made in this area over the years, it remains a troubling issue.

Co-ordinator of the Gender Affairs Division in the Ministry of Social Development, Polly Oliver, speaking on NBC’s Views On Issues Programme on Sunday, which focused on the topic: The Achievements and Advancement of Women in St Vincent and the Grenadines

The discussion was held as part of activities to commemorate International Women’s Day, which was observed yesterday.

The other Panelists on the programme were: Ifa Miguel, Senior Assessor for WINICROP; Kenyatta Lewis, former President of the Association of Evangelical Churches and Beverly Richards, President of the National Council of Women.
