Sion Hill Tallawahs continue to be the inform in the SVG Police Co-operative Credit Union Clinchers T20 softball tournament with a third comprehensive victory as they thrashed Country Meet Town Outa Trouble (2) by 119 runs in their latest match at the Richland Park Oval.

Batting first the Sandy based team rushed to 171 in 19.4 over with Fabian Roberts hitting a topscore of 41 (3×6 4×4) and Marley Duncan 31 (4×6 1×4). Ezron Duke 4/38 was led the bowling.
Country Meet Town Outa Trouble were then dismissed for 52 in 15.1 overs with Shamic Roberts grabbing 4/11 from his four overs.

In Saturday’s second match Country Meet Town Outa Trouble exacted a measure of revenge for their “Lil Bruddaz” by beating Allstars by three wickets. Allstars got to 76/6 in their 20 overs to which Country Meet Town Outa Trouble ONE replied with 77/7 in 15.4 overs thanks to Ozni Billingy’s 31. Kelique Samuel 3/4 from four overs was the best bowler.

On Sunday Smashers sedated Dr. Thomas Injectors with 53 run defeat after reaching 129 in 18.2 overs upon winning the toss and batting first. Zeron Harry with an all boundary 48 (6×6 3×4) led the batting as Augustine Corridon 3/21 from three overs did so for the bowlers.

Dr. Thomas Injectors were quickly put to bed by Keniel Richards 4/8 (3.2 overs) – being dismissed for 76 in 18.4 overs.

And Nice Radio Clinchers overcame a few hiccups to beat Smashers by four wickets in the weekend’s final match. Winning the toss and choosing to bat, Smart Strikers reached 112/7 lm their 20 overs with Rangel Small 30 (3×6) being the topscore. Obyon Toby 37 (3×6 2×4) and Donwell Hector 35 (1×6 5×4) then set up the victory. Hurvon Smart 3/19 topped the bowling.

The Player of the Weekend-is Shamic Roberts of Sion Hill Tallawahs, who made 20 and also took 4/11 against Country Meet Town Outa Trouble TWO.

The tournament takes a break next weekend for the national Heroes Day holiday but resumes promptly the following weekend.
