The commendation came from Regional Director of the United Nations Children Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean Bernt Aasen, who wrapped up a two-day official visit to the state yesterday.
While here Mr. Aasen and his delegation visited Government Ministries and Communities to assess UNICEF’s Program support to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Speaking at a Media Conference yesterday, Mr. Aasen said he is pleased with the progress this country has made over the years.
And … Following discussions with Minister of National Mobilization, Frederick Stephenson, Mr. Aasen said he is pleased with the Ministry’s efforts in addressing child abuse issues.
