The Nutrition Unit is hosting a Mini Fair in Kingstown today as part of its continued thrust to promote Healthy Diets through Nutrition Education.
The Mini Fair is being held as part of Nutrition Awareness Week activities which has as its theme “Healthy Eating and Active Living – Less Salt – Healthier Life”.
Community Dietician for the Nutrition Unit, Kerry Samuel says the aim is to involve all sectors of the society in adopting healthy lifestyles.
Ms. Samuel says activities are focusing attention on the health risks of excess dietary intake of salt and sodium.
The Mini Fair takes place at the SVG Postal Corporation from ten this morning.
The Nutrition Awareness Week activities will climax on Sunday with a joint Radio Discussion Program focussing on Good Nutrition and Healthy Eating.
