The Family Planning Unit within the Ministry of Health will conduct a workshop on Cancer Prevention in females today.
The workshop will address matters such as breast and cervical cancer, causes, signs, symptoms, prevention and screening methodology.
The Ministry of Health says the Workshop will mark the beginning of a series of workshops in each district that will focus on cancer prevention.
The objectives are to enlighten females in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the benefits of having their pap-smear done and to increase to increase cancer screening in the various districts by the end of 2015
The session takes place at the Chateaubelair Resource Centre, from 9:30 this morning.
