Defending champions Combined Sixerz defeated Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines All Stars by 83 runs in last weekend’s Knockout match in the Digicel/Hairoun Lauders Twenty/20 Softball Championship at the Antoine Playing Field in Lauders.
The final scores: Combined Sixerz 145 for 4 in 20-overs; Richie Richards 36, Asif Hooper 30, Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines All Stars 53 off 14.5-overs; Deroy Straugh 3 for 9, Mackie Grant and Richie Richards finished with 2 wickets each.
In the First of two quarter-Final matches played. Gairy Construction Simple Boys secured their semi-final spot when they defeated Carib Stars by 8 wickets. SCORES: Carib Stars 63 off 14.1-overs; Stein Joseph 3 for 9 Kentish Phillips and Travis Cumberbatch 2 wickets each.
Gairy Construction Simple Boys 65 for 2 off 9.2-overs; Jabari Cunningham 34 not out.
The second quarter-final between Smashers and Log Enterprises Supreme Strikers was abandoned due to heavy rains and will be rescheduled.
