Eighty youths from across the country are expected to participate in this year’s Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Band Summer Program.
Band Master, Inspector Bernard Haynes said this year’s program runs from July 21st to August 21st under the theme “Building Minds through the Art of Music”.
Inspector Haynes said registration forms were made available on Tuesday July 14th and he is encouraging parents to get their children involved in the program.
He said the program will cover the playing of a number of Wind Instruments as well as the Steel Pan among other disciplines.
Inspector Haynes said learning to play music is a strict discipline which requires focus and he is encouraging parents to send their children to participate in the program.
