The Ministry of Health is encouraging breastfeeding mothers to take every opportunity to ensure that their children are properly breastfed in the early stages of their development.
The advice came from Acting Chief Nutritionist, Joyce Burgin, who was speaking on a Radio discussion Program, in observance of World Breastfeeding Week 2015.
Miss Burgin said mothers who are unable to be available to breastfeed their babies are being encouraged to express and freeze their breastmilk for later use.
