A 2-day Tourism Career Expo is among activities planned to mark Tourism Month.

The Ministry of Tourism is spearheading the activities to build public awareness, strengthen inter tourism industry relationships.

The Tourism Career Expo will be held at the Richmond Hill playing field on November 12th to 13th.

Minister of Tourism Cecil McKie says the Expo would feature some of the many careers that are available in the tourism industry and is intended mainly for students.

Other activities include a Tourism Exhibition at Heritage Square, a Photo Challenge for the general public, the launch of a Tourism Sitcom and Comic Book, ‘Know Your Country’ tours for Industry Staff and members of the local media and Police force.

There will also be the Annual Tourism Youth Congress for Secondary Students and a Tourism Debate for Tertiary students at the divisions of the Community College.
