South Leeward Highway Drainage Systems To Be Improved

Community Liaison Officer for the South Leeward Highway Rehabilitation and Improvement Project- Marlon Stevenson said they are paying significant attention to the issue of proper drainage throughout the entire project.

Community Liaison Officer for the South Leeward Highway Rehabilitation and Improvement Project- Marlon Stevenson tells NBC News this is important because proper drainage continues to be a major issue throughout the nation when it rains.

He Said as a result of poor drainage the water often destroys the roads as well as cause flooding.

Mr. Stevenson said addressing proper drainage issues on the South Leeward project would also help to alleviate the problems faced at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital

He said they are also putting a number of measures in place to reduce the incidence of flooding at the Hospital.
