Government Spending On Salaries and Wages Increases By 9%

The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be spending 281.8 million dollars on Salaries and Wages this year

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr. Ralph Gonsalves made the announcement in Parliament on Friday, while presenting the 2016 Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure.

The Prime Minister said because of this huge amount allocated to Salaries and Wages, Public Servants need to ensure that they provide improved services to the public.

The Prime Minister also spoke of the monies allocated to the Pension Program and plans to reform it.
