Prime Minister- Dr. Ralph Gonsalves Will this evening present the feature address at the 12th edition of the Dr. Alister Francis Memorial Lecture in Antigua. Dr. Gonsalves will speak on the topic “Education and the Caribbean Civilization”
The series is held annually, as a tribute to the first principal of the Antigua State College, who served the tertiary institution from 1977 until his death in 2000.
Dean of Student Affairs- Anika Kentish said over the past 12 years, the lectures have focused on educational themes, given that Dr. Francis was a distinguished educator who made significant contributions to education in Antigua & Barbuda.
The lecture takes place at the University of the West Indies Open Campus on Factory Road, Antigua beginning at 7:30pm.
