The Solid Waste Management Unit in the Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) remains concerned about the high incidence of improper waste disposal throughout the country.
The concern was raised by Collections Supervisor at the Solid Waste Management Unit, Vincent Reid, during the Police on the Beat programme aired on NBC Radio last Monday night.
Mr. Reid said there is a need for persons to be more conscious of the impact of waste on the environment and to develop a more positive mindset.
Mr. Reid also pointed to the need for Vincentians to be better educated about the Litter Act.
