The Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines called for the addressing of the issue of quality teaching and leadership in schools here, as they play vital role in improving quality outcomes in education.
He made the called last Friday afternoon while delivering the feature address at the 2016 National Awards Ceremony at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown.
Dr. Gonsalves pointed out that the research has shown that one year of quality teaching adds another year of educational value, likewise one year of leadership adds at least a half-year of educational value.
