This year The Carnival Bands Association (CBA) will be recognizing and honouring Gordon “Tarya” Boucher as it celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the King of the Bands competition.
The Component of Mas has come a very long way in the Carnival celebrations, and this year, the work of everyone who has made tremendous contributions to the growth and development of Mas in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be celebrating, Chairman of the Carnival Bands Association (CBA), Hugh Raguette said.
Mr. Raguette pointed out that Gordon “Tarya” Boucher has competed in the King of the Bands competition thirty three different times and he has won a total of six times, and has an unbeaten record of appearing in the King of the Bands competition for twenty- six consecutive years straight.
