Vincentians will again benefit from free Eye Care services starting this Sunday when the 2016 Lions Club Kingstown Eye Care Programme commences.

The Programme, now in its 41st year, will be carried out in conjunction with the USA Mobile Medical Eye Care Mission and the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, a release from Lions Club Kingstown says.

A team of eye Surgeons will be stationed at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital from this Sunday May 29th to Friday June 3rd where they will conduct eye surgeries, lasers and consultations.

Only patients on the Hospital list, and those referred by the Ophthalmologists will be seen at the Hospital.

Meanwhile, eye testing and distribution of eye glasses and medications will be carried out at the Medical Facility of the National Sports Council at Arnos Vale from Monday, May 30th to Friday, June 3rd from 8.00 am daily.

In 2015, approximately sixty Eye surgeries were successfully performed at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, and six hundred persons received free Eye glasses.
