The Ministry of Education celebrated child month in May 2016 with various activities with the theme “Blossom In A Nurturing Environment”
Senior education officer in charge of Early Childhood Education, Gwynette Cambridge stated, that greater emphasis is being placed on the training of Early Childhood Education Teachers this year by The Ministry of Education.
The Ministry continues to implement initiatives which would result in the schools becoming more child friendly and to lay foundations for critical thinking skills among youths.
Gender mainstreaming is also being implemented to ensure that there is equality in the way boys and girls are treated at Early Childhood Institutions.
