SVGCC Defeats Vishnu Boys Hindu College In Cricket Tournament

French Verandah St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College defeated Vishnu Boys Hindu College of Trinidad by six wickets yesterday in their fifth match of the Garfield Sobers International Schools Cricket tournament in Barbados.

Vishnu Boys Hindu College were dismissed for 94 in 38.1 overs after being sent in to bat first. Rickash Boodram’s 23 not out was their best individual score as Jeremy Haywood took 4-17, Shane Roberts 2-19, Ronaldo Franklyn 2-22, and Othniel Lewis 1-3 well for French Verandah St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College who lost 4 wickets in reaching 96 off 30.4 overs.

Tilron Harry (53) and Deroney May (24) shared a 2nd wicket partnership of 70 runs to lay the foundation for the victory by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College. The most successful bowler for Vishnu Boys Hindu College was Adrian Williams with 2-14.

French Verandah St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College are scheduled to meet Fatima College of Trinidad today.
