Minister of National Mobilization, Frederick Stephenson emphasized the need for more institutions like the ‘Our Lady of Guadalupe Home’ to be set up St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The minister stressed on this issue during his presentation at the unveiling of the renovated facility held on July 19th 2016.
He said more home like this is needed to assist with the positive upbringing of the less fortunate youths within the society.
The Home is a non-profit institution that focuses primarily on transforming the lives of abused young girls, by providing them with a safe housing and nurturing environment.
The renovations was funded by Digicel SVG Limited at a cost of over one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
