St. Vincent and the Grenadines has launched its component, of the Japan Caribbean climate change partnership project, which is being carried out by the UNDP, through its sub-regional office in Barbados for the Eastern Caribbean States.
This new initiative will help put in place, a practice Caribbean countries actions and policies, to reduce green-house gas emissions, and adopt to climate change, such as nationally appropriate, mitigation action and national adaptation plans.
It will also boost access to sustainable energy and help reduce fossil fuel imports and dependents.
