Local Farmers To Play An Active Role In Protecting The Environment

The Windward Islands Farmers Association (WINFA) has called on Local farmers to play an active role in protecting the environment.

This appeal was made by Coordinator of the Windward Islands Farmers Association (WINFA), Kozel Fraser during a workshop earlier this week.

Mrs. Fraser said following the three-week program they will be conducting assessments to see how well the local farmers are putting what they learnt into practice to ensure Sustainable soil and environmental management.

Mrs. Fraser said the project is one of their key programs building the resilience of the Agricultural sector while ensuring adaptation to Climate Change.
