Titans and Dragons won Under-16 Division matches in the Vita Malt Bequia Basketball Championships, while the visiting Blue Chip Academy Hope Ministries Team defeated Bequia All-Stars 61-58 in an Exhibition game at the Hard Court of the Clive Tannis Playing Field in Port Elizabeth last night.
Titans defeated Rockets 31-20. The leading scorer for Titans was Nelson Thomas with 10 points, 1 rebound, and 2 steals and for Rockets was Keon Gooding with a game high 14 points, 6 rebounds, 7 steals, and 2 blocks.
And, Dragons beat Hawks 30-20. Omarie Louie led the way for Dragons with 10 points, 3 rebounds and 4 steals. The top score for Hawks was Corsini Pollard with 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 steals.
In the Exhibition game, Blue Chip Academy Hope Ministries Team of the USA defeated Bequia All-Stars 61-58. The leading scorer for Blue Chip Academy Hope Ministries was Colton Bishop with 21 points. Denroy Hutchins was Bequia All-Stars leading scorer with 12 points.
Tomorrow at 6:30 pm, Blazing Heat will clash with Wizards (2), then at 8 pm, Southern Stars will face Young Duke and Raptors will take on Wizards at 9:30 pm.
