OECS Performing Well At Caribbean Men’s Singles Squash

Vincentian, James Bentick after drawing a bye in the first round, was beaten yesterday in the second round of the Men’s Singles Caribbean Area Squash Championships at the Squash Courts of the Queen’s Park Oval in Port Spain, Trinidad.

Bentick was beaten 11-8, 11-1, 11-1.

Another OECS Player, Jules Snagg, who also drew a bye in the first round of Championship, defeated Jonathan Blanc of Trinidad and Tobago 11-4, 11-2, 11-4 in round two, and Julian Morrison of Jamaica 12-10, 11-5, 11-13, 9-11, 11-2 in round three, but was beaten in the quarter-finals by Sunil Seth of Guyana 11-9, 11-7, 11-8.



Jason Doyle, also of the OECS defeated Luc Davis of Trinidad and Tobago 11-2, 11-7, 11-4 in the 2nd round, but was beaten by Sunil Seth of Guyana 11-8, 12-10, 11-7 in the their round.

OECS Player, Kevin Hannaway drew a bye in the first round but was beaten in round two by Bryant Cumberbatch of Barbados 11-8, 11-7, 11-7.

Othneil Bailey of the OECS defeated Brandon Demitrichard of Trinidad and Tobago 7-11, 11-4, 11-2, 11-3 in the first round but lost in the second round to Noah Browne of the Bahamas 9-11, 13-11, 11-6, 11-8.

The OECS’s Eshawn Adams, after drawing a bye in the first round, was beaten in the second round by Shawn Simpson of Barbados 11-2, 11-9, 11-2.
