The Straker Learning Resource Centre at Layou on Tuesday August 30, received a quantity of computers from the Embassy of the Republic of China on Taiwan.
Sir louis Straker, Parliamentary Representative for the area, received the computers, valued at EC$27,000 from Bau-shan-Ger, the Ambassador of Taiwan to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Sir Louis Straker expressed gratitude for the donation saying “Taiwan has been an excellent friend of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and it has given [tremendously to] the development of this country in every sector”.
Ambassador Bau-shan-Ger said he hoped the donation will serve its purpose and provided reassurance of Taiwan’s continuing support.
