Dance Development Officer in the Ministry of Culture, Maxine Browne is pleased with the turn-out for the start of the 2016 Kingstown Co-operative Credit Union (KCCU) National Dance Festival, which opened at the Memorial Hall last weekend.
This year’s Festival is being held under the theme “Let’s Dance”. Miss Browne said last Saturday’s programme featured a number of high quality performances. Six gold medals were awarded, following last Saturday’s performances, as well as 14 silver and two bronze.
She said the Festival will continue this Saturday September 17th with performances in the Modern Dance and Senior Popular Dance categories.
