Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves was the feature speaker at a Town Hall Meeting which was hosted at the Friends of Crown Heights Auditorium in New York last Saturday.
The Prime Minister responded to concerns relating to the services provided by local Health Care Providers was among issues raised including the increase in deaths recorded at the Hospital, which some say are as a result of medical negligence.
He said in the vast majority of situations, Health Care Providers offer professional and invaluable services to their patients but the Prime Minister also expressed concern about the occurrence of chronic Non Communicable Diseases in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Prime Minister said persons need to take responsibility for their health as the government has been investing lots of money in the healthcare sector.
