The Finale of the 2016 Kingstown Co-operative Credit Union (KCCU) National Dance Festival which was scheduled to take place this weekend has been postponed.
Maxine Browne, Dance Development Officer in the Ministry of Culture, said the final was scheduled to be held at the Peace Memorial Hall this Saturday, but will now take place on Saturday October 8th.
She said due to passage of Tropical Storm Mathew, many of the participants did not have enough time to rehearse their presentations.
Miss Browne said the organizers of the Festival are committed to presenting a showcase of the highest quality, and the postponement will give the participants enough time to make it a reality.
She appealed to the public to support the various dance groups by the attending the Finale of the Dance Festival next weekend at the Peace Memorial Hall.
