* Star Blocks of Brighton are the 2016 champions of the Hairoun Stubbs Football Championship following their 2-1 win over GECCU Awesome Calliaqua FC on Sunday at the Stubbs Park Playing Field.

Earlier, Hairoun Groove Street Ballers defeated Volcanoes FC to clinch the third place.

* Hope International “B” defeated Toney’s FC “B” 4-2 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time in yesterday’s 1st Quarter-final of the COMSPORT/KPMG/ Hairoun Arnos Vale Football League at Arnos Vale (2) Playing Field.

During regulation time, Rasheed Simmons netted for Hope International “B”, while Shamar Ollivierre converted for Toney’s FC “B”.

This afternoon, Richmond Hill United will oppose National Properties Fair Hall United at 4:30 in the second quarter-final also at Arnos Vale (2) Playing Field.

* St. Vincent and the Grenadines Port Authority are through to the semi-finals of the Senior Division in the Digicel/Aeropost/St. Vincent Brewery Breakaway Firms Invitational Football Championships after defeating CWSA 2-1 on sudden death penalties following a goalless draw at the end of regulation time yesterday afternoon at the Grammar School Playing Field.

After the first five penalty kicks the scores were level at three all.

This afternoon at 4:30, Toni Combine Stores and R&R Construction Transport and Works will meet in the last Quarter-final in the Senior Division also at the Grammar School Playing Field.
