Apollo Knights, Director of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), said work is continuing to have number portability functional in the country.
Number Portability enables Mobile and Fixed Line telephone users to keep their telephone numbers when changing from one network operator to another.
Mr. Knights said they held a meeting in St. Lucia on July 27th and the five Member countries of the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL) are pressing ahead with work in their individual states.
He said while Number Portability has experienced a number of delays, the work is continuing to have it implemented because it is a complex process that takes time to have everything in place.
