Rockets, Hawks, Wizards, and East Blazers won weekend matches in the Vita Malt Bequia Basketball Championship at the Hard Court of the Clive Tannis Playing Field in Port Elizabeth.
In the Under-16 Division, Rockets defeated Titans 37-31. The leading scorer for Rockets: Elton Wilson with 26 pts, 8 reb, 1 asst, 8 steals, -leading scorer Titans: Kody Williams with 24 pts, 16 reb, 5 steal, 4 blks.
Hawks beat Dragons 32-24. Darren John with 20 pts, 15 reb, 12 steals for Hawks. For Dragons were Giovanni Miller and Mc Koy Hazell both with 8 points each.
Rockets defeat Young Wizards 29-27.

TIE BREAKER GAME: FIRST DIVISION
The First Division had two teams with the same win/loss record as the First Round of Competition comes to an end, so a tie breaker game was necessary to determine who plays in the semi-finals:
East Blazers defeat Wizards 80 to 77 to get a bypass to the finals. -leading scorer East Blazers: Jonas King with32 pts and 10 reb. -leading scorer Wizards: Dareo Glasgow with 24 pts, 4 reb, 2 assists, and 3 steals.
Wizards will meet Raptors on Friday in a semi-final match up to determine which team will play against East Blazers in the Final.
The Championships will continue tomorrow. At 6.00 pm, Young Wizards will meet Hawks, and at 7.30 pm, Hornets will face Rockets.
