Speech Pathology Ongoing Work in SVG

Officials at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital are continuing a Speech Therapy Clinic following the recent visit of the World Pediatric Project (WPP) Speech Pathology and Autism mission to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Pediatric Neurologist at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, Doctor Mishka Duncan Adams says the people who are currently conducting the Speech Therapy Clinic at the hospital are not official speech therapists but have received some informal training from WPP.

Dr. Duncan-Adams says while they are currently doing the best they can with the resources available to them through the WPP, they are hoping to have a trained Speech Pathologist in the country to have the therapy ongoing throughout the year.
