Vincentians are being reminded of the importance of retirement planning in an effort to ensure financial stability on their post retirement years.
On the Views on Issues programme aired on NBC Radio on Sunday, the focus was placed on the topic: “Retirement Planning – Making Your Golden Years Golden”.
The discussion formed part of activities to Financial Information Month, a regional financial education campaign executed by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) during the month of October.
Senior Banking Manager at the Bank of SVG, Serlian Russell, said proper retirement planning is crucial to ensuring a quality lifestyle after retirement and it is imperative that persons commence their retirement planning in their youthful years.
Mr. Russell is encouraging persons to seek professional advice in their retirement planning.
