Following the successful hosting of last month’s Secondary School Bands Showcase, the organizers say they will be holding a series of developmental programs for the youths involved in the Secondary School bands.
The program which was held as a collaborative effort of The Ministry of Culture and the SVG Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited had ten secondary school bands participating under the theme “Bringing a Modern Approach to Musical Education”, at the E.T Joshua Tarmac.
Coordinator of the Secondary School Bands Showcase, Rodney Small said they will be holding a number of programs throughout the year which includes a Mentorship program and a Boot Camp during the summer to be followed by a folk festival which will feature the Secondary School Bands.
