BODIES OF BOYS RECOVERED

Police have recovered the bodies of three of the persons who were reportedly swept away by the tide at Breakers Beach at Ratho Mill on Sunday.

Police said investigations are continuing into the incident, which occurred at about 5:55pm, affecting six persons.

According to reports, six persons were on Breakers Beach at Ratho Mill, namely Darwin Daniel, 29 years old Labourer, Mikey Mack 23 years, Jonathan Cupid, 13 years student, Isaiah Shallow, 11 years student, Jevorn Phillips, 11 years and Ashawn Patterson, 8 years student, all of Prospect.

Police said the persons were reportedly swept away by a tide. Reports are that Mikey Mack was able to rescue 8 year old Ashawn Patterson.

Police has since recovered the bodies of Darwin Daniel, Jonathan Cupid and Isaiah Shallow while Jevorn Phillips is still missing.

The SVG Coast Guard and Police are continuing their search.

The Police are reminding sea bathers, small craft operators, other citizens and visitors alike that the Hurricane Season commenced on June 1. Persons are being urged to be extra careful and to take every necessary precaution when visiting the beaches.
