Director of the National Emergency Management Organisation NEMO, Michelle Forbes, has reminded Vincentians of the importance of having a Family Disaster Plan, in the event that the country is impacted by a natural disaster.
Miss Forbes gave the reminder, during NBC’s Face to Face programme this week.
She said there must be a role for each member of the Family, during a natural disaster, especially if there are young children or elderly persons.
Miss Forbes said families should discuss what procedure should be followed, if they are required to evacuate their homes at a moment’s notice.
